New to Lorca?

If you aren't fluent in Spanish, a great place to start is a bilingual collection of his poems.  My favorite is  The Collected Poems: A Bilingual Edition (Revised), edited by Christopher Maurer, followed by the The Selected Poems of Federico Garcia Lorca by WS Merwin. The surreal Poet in New York is on Kindle in a bilingual version. Poet in New York: A Bilingual Edition  The plays are wonderful, but I'm currently in negotiations to publish my own translations, and so won't recommend any at this time.  You'll just have to wait!

Should you wish to buy any recommended books or other Amazon items, if you go to Amazon directly from this site I'll get a tiny commission.  This is a good option if you don't have a decent independent bookstore nearby.
